In my first year at Full Sail University I had a class that taught us how to use Maya in the most basic ways. We were given dimensions for a picnic table and had to build one from scratch in Maya. We were taught how to texture and how it works. The requirements for this project was to have a picnic bench (with the right dimensions), fence built around the table and grass/trees built into the scene. I added a spotlight to illuminate certain aspects in the scene, as well as adding in a small above ground pond in the corner.
